Mr. Walker joined Legal Management Services in
2005, after spending the prior 9+ years serving as the
Senior Civil Litigation Attorney for a general litigation firm in Los
Angeles. He has substantial litigation experience, for both
plaintiff
and defense, in a wide array of areas, including insurance defense,
personal injury, medical/legal malpractice, corporate, contracts,
intellectual property and appellate practice. This spectrum of
litigation experience allows Mr. Walker to utilize his talents in such
a manner so as to effectuate a satisfactory, cost effective resolution
to his client’s litigation needs – whether such a resolution is
obtained via trial verdict or some type of alternative dispute
resolution prior to trial. At LMS, Mr. Walker is responsible for coordinating all franchise litigation matters across the country. These responsibilities include tendering new lawsuits to franchisees, securing the dismissals of improper parties in lawsuits involving franchisors and franchisees, overseeing and managing high profile cases, recovering monies owed to the franchisors from the franchisees and/or their carriers, and defending franchisors in litigated matters.
Mr.
Walker is a graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu,
California, after obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from
Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. While at Davidson,
Mr.
Walker was a member of the men’s varsity soccer team and men’s varsity
track and field team, and he continues to serve as the starting
goalkeeper on two Rhode Island adult soccer teams, as well as coach his
sons' youth soccer teams. He has also been honored to serve as President of the Jamestown Rotary Club for two terms, and he presently serves as the Hillsdale Homeowner’s Association President, as well as Vice-President of the Exeter West Greenwich Youth Soccer Association. Mr. Walker is also a Den Leader for the Boy Scouts of Pack 1 Richmond. In his spare time, Mr. Walker enjoys
politics, travel and spending time with his wife and
